IMPACT

Children that are reared and educated in urban areas in comparison to children from influential areas struggle mentally, physically, and emotionally. They are more liable to drop out of school for several reasons because poverty and education run parallel. Let’s make a positive impact and help children overcome everyday challenges that prevent them from achieving their life-long goals.

TAKE ACTION

Fund Summer and After School Programs FY 2023

TAKE-ACTION

We are pleased that the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC), is exclusively committed to funding afterschool programs, and Congress has passed a $30 million increase in funding for FY 2022. This support is greatly apricated and does not go unnoticed. Nevertheless, afterschool programs are facing tremendous challenges when it comes to providing services for our children who reside in underserved communities.
We are at the very beginning of the FY 2023 appropriations process and trying to figure out the best course of action for underserved communities is extremely challenging. President Joe Biden proposed a $21 million to the 21st Century Community Learning Center initiative. Let’s do the work together. Contact your congressperson and senator and let them know you appreciate all they do and ask for more funding.
