This course explores microinvalidations and subtle comments or behaviors that dismiss, negate, or minimize a person’s lived experience, identity, or reality.
This course helps learners:
- Understand citizenship as participation, belonging, and voice.
- Identify microinvalidations and how they differ from other microaggressions.
- Recognize how phrases like “We are all the same” dimensions lived
- Understand how invalidation affects identity, trust, and civic engagement.
- Learn how to respond without escalating conflict or silencing your voice.
